A.R.T. Furniture Offers Fresh Look at Traditional With ‘American Chapter’
The whole-house collection is inspired by the architecture and lifestyles of Lexington, Kentucky
Ontario, CA (October 3, 2017)- Building on the success of the widely popular Arch. Salvage collection, A.R.T. Furniture has continued the architectural repurposing story with a new American-themed casegood and upholstery collection called, appropriately, American Chapter. The collection will be shown at the Fall High Point Market, October 14-18, 2017.
“The trend towards architectural repurposing remains strong, and we’ve found that a more easygoing take on traditional really resonates with the way people are living today,” said Adam Tilley, Senior Vice President of Product and Marketing at A.R.T. Furniture. “As we looked at where to go next we realized that there was more to this story—traditional doesn’t end with European antiques.” The American Chapter collection includes bedroom, dining room, occasional, and home office pieces.
The historical charm, casual elegance, and entrepreneurial energy of the area around Lexington, Kentucky made it a perfect fit for a major new collection from A.R.T Furniture. “It’s a very town and country kind of feeling,” said Tilley. Design elements in the 70-piece American Chapter collection are drawn from everything from farmhouses to stables, barns, and distilleries. The woods used in the collection include figured birch, rustic pecan, flakey oak, and burl and quartered walnut, finished in bourbon-toned “Makers” and two-toned “Rye.” Individual pieces are detailed with honed granite, belt leather, nail head trim, antique mirror, and oxidized brass.
“It’s an eclectic design palette with an element of luxury,” said Tilley. “The bottom line is American Chapter provides the very hip, livable traditional consumers are looking for today.
