JKM Home by J. Kent Martin returns to CR Laine for its Second Season
HIGH POINT, FALL 2017 – JKM Home by J. Kent Martin returns to CR Laine for its second season, following the premier launch of JKM Home last April. This fall, the designer and product developer, J. Kent Martin adds 17 new furniture accents to his relevant, approachable and well-received collection, bringing the total to 60 unique pieces.
“I am thrilled to be returning to the CR Laine showroom for a second season. The entire CR Laine team has been such fantastic partners. We seemed to have great style synergy and therefore will be expanding both our product line and the display space this fall.”
Bringing a deep love and understanding of the history of art, architecture and design to the creation of his eponymous collection, the Springfield Mo. talent adds his distinctive and diverse personal style to a timeless mix of iconic shapes and memorable silhouettes. “Each piece is rooted in tradition, with respect for the past, but very much living in the present,” explains the designer.
“I re-envision accent furnishings and statement pieces for contemporary living” says Martin, “Adding compelling finishes and substantial scale to an often un-usable accent category.” Matters of finish and functionality are also carefully considered so the individual pieces fit a wide range of design environments. “These pieces are more than extraneous add- ons, they are important elemental accents.”
Accompanying the full-line of accent furniture pieces, Martin will again feature a selection of his original artwork in the showroom.
JKM Home Collection will be shown exclusively at CR Laine during the Fall 2017 High Point market, the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world.
