Cone Health Emergency Manager Graduates From FEMA Academy

Scott Supernaw completes courses at the National Emergency Management Advanced Academy.

GREENSBORO, N.C. May 01, 2017 – Scott Supernaw has graduated from the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) National Emergency Management Advanced Academy.

Supernaw is the emergency management coordinator for Cone Health. He is responsible for making sure that Cone Health is prepared to care for its communities in times of crisis, ranging from a mass casualty event to a pandemic influenza outbreak.

Supernaw completed four, one-week resident courses at the academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The FEMA program is designed to provide graduates with the skills critical to performing emergency management responsibilities, such as program management and oversight, effective communication at all levels, integrated collaboration and strategic thinking.
