Blending Modern Design with Ancient Craftsmanship, C.K. Thomas & Sons Debuts Their Showroom and Exquisitely Designed Products During April’s High Point Market
RALEIGH April 19, 2017 – C.K. Thomas & Sons, a third generation family business dedicated to revitalizing ancient craftsmanship through Modcient design, will debut their inaugural showroom and their brand new collection of hand-hammered brass products during High Point Market, April 22-26, 2017. The C.K. Thomas & Sons showroom is located at the Suites at Market Square, booth T-828 (top floor).
“Modcient design combines modern design aesthetics with ancient craftsmanship,” says Joshua Prabhakar, CEO of C.K. Thomas & Sons. “This allows our customers to enjoy accessories for their homes that use the same skills and techniques that adorned ancient temples and palaces.”
The C.K. Thomas & Sons showroom transports visitors to the exotic world of the artisans and the products take center stage. Six never-before-seen products will be on display during market, highlighting polished, hand-hammered and antiqued brass pieces, and incorporating glass, mirrors and hand-cut features. The collection includes coffee and side tables, accent chairs and lighting, with retail prices starting at $800.
“To preserve the artisanal skills of yesterday we must fight to practice them today. Profits from all our products go back to the artisans to preserve these techniques for generations to come,” says Prabhakar.
