MetLife Names Lyndon Oliver As Treasurer
NEW YORK, September 10, 2019 – MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) today announced that Lyndon Oliver will rejoin the company as executive vice president and treasurer, reporting to Chief Financial Officer John McCallion. Oliver brings an extensive financial and strategic background, having recently served as AXA’s chief strategic development officer in Asia. The appointment will be effective Nov. 18, 2019, and he will be based in New York City.
Oliver has a deep knowledge of the insurance industry. He previously served in several senior roles with MetLife during his 10-year career at the company, which included CFO for Asia, CFO for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and CFO for the Group, Voluntary and Worksite Benefits organization in what was then the Americas region. Prior to MetLife’s acquisition of Alico in November 2010, Oliver was the CFO of AIG Life Companies, Japan and Korea. His prior roles also include executive, managerial and financial management positions in The Hartford Group and ING Group.
In his new role, Oliver will be responsible for the strategic management of MetLife’s financial resources, including capital management, reinsurance, liquidity risk, cash management, and managing the company’s relationships with both banks and rating agencies.

Oliver received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his MBA from the University of Alabama.
